Welcome to another Arsecast Extra, the Arsenal podcast, with myself and James from @gunnerblog.
In this episode we look back on the eventful 3-2 win in the North London derby on Sunday. Despite not being at our best, we were 3-0 up at the break. We discuss the goals we scored, and how we exploited the lack of opposition preparation and awareness – particularly from set-pieces. Ben White and Declan Rice had some fun in that regard. We also chat about the chances they had up the other end, including a disallowed goal, before moving onto the second half. There’s focus on David Raya’s mistake and the reaction to it from him and his teammates, conceding the late penalty and how it made for an awful, nerve-wracking last 10 minutes, but underlying it all is the fact we won, took three points, and Spurs have crap trumpets. Then there are listener questions about Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka’s reaction to abuse from the stands, Thomas Partey’s future and lots more.
